Adam LZ qualified in 2nd place at the Klutch Kickers Drifting tournament, among Toyota Supras, Nissan Silvias and fox body Mustangs.

Adam LZ, the automotive YouTube icon, has put out another video showing his favorite BMW E36. Adam is no beginner when it comes to modifying cars, as you probably remember from his ultra-famous video where he LS-swaps his mom's Pontiac Solstice. This should prove enough that his BMW drifter E36 would be no slouch when it comes to power output.

The video begins in a very random way, even by Adam LZ standards. He is hunching over a carburetor from a generator, wondering what different parts do from a disassembled carburetor. He is sweating profusely and tells us it is currently 77,000 degrees outside, and he is not going anywhere to race in the Klutch Kickers Drifting tournament without an air conditioner and for this, he needs his generator.

After telling us that he knows absolutely nothing about carburetors, he decides to put the whole thing back together and to everyone's surprise, the generator starts up! Cool.

The drifting begins at the 3:58 mark where we get a montage of the qualifiers which includes some of the more classic style drifters. We have Toyota Supras and Nissan Silvias as well as some more uncommon styles such as fox body Mustangs and Adam's own BMW E36 which performs absolutely stunningly with lots of sideways action and amazing smoke pouring off of the rear tires.

At the 16-minute mark, Adam pulls up next to a black Corvette, and both whip around the track in what may be the most elegant ballet of drifting we have ever seen. Once Adam finishes drifting, he tells us that the guy they just went up against was 14 years old!

Unfortunately, it begins to rain during the drifting competition. The torrential downpour floods the track and the officials are in the position where they need to make the very difficult decision to stop the race. Fortunately for Adam, the officials come to the fair conclusion that the remaining racers' rankings would depend on how well they qualified. This puts Adam in a second-place position and quite obviously eligible for the next round. The E36 performs stunningly with no major faults or breaks and will be ready for the next round. We look forward to it.
