To honour its global off-roading and exploration heritage, Land Rover Classic has unveiled 25 limited edition Classic Defender Works V8 Trophy II vehicles and an experience.

Land Rovers have been exploring previously unreachable terrain for seven decades.

Throughout its 70-year history of adventuring, the renowned 44 has conquered 23 different sites, including those from The Camel Trophy, The First Overland, and the G4 Challenge.

Each vehicle has a distinctive camouflage that represents one of these destinations.

For owners to recognise, the design also incorporates a number of concealed Land Rovers and their recognisable silhouette: Can you track them all down?

Customers have the chance to buy a one-of-a-kind collectable car as well as participate in the second, exclusive, three-day Land Rover Trophy tournament.

With the help of Land Rover Trophy, like-minded consumers can establish lifelong bonds, cherish special moments, and give an unforgettable occasion their personal stamp.

Customers will receive expert advice as they compete in a series of point-based off-road challenges that are motivated by our well-known international expeditions.

One team will be declared the winner of the grand prize following the three-day competition.

Customers will have the most incredible method to get to know their vehicles and make lifelong memories.

The one-of-a-kind camouflaged Classic Defender Works V8 Trophy models, which pay homage to Land Rover’s all-terrain heritage, will be made using Defender models from 2012 to 2016, which have been meticulously disassembled, rebuilt by hand, and improved to the highest standards by our committed team at Land Rover Classic.

“The Defender has conquered terrains across the world. Our latest Classic Works V8 Trophy II honours this expedition heritage in its unique exterior design, paying homage to some of these stunning locations. Each of the 25 vehicles available is a labour of love, sourced, assembled and remastered by our passionate specialist team. As well as taking delivery of a highly collectible vehicle, our owners will have the unique opportunity to put theirs to the ultimate test in a bespoke Land Rover Trophy event.”

Michael van der Sande, Managing Director, Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations.

Features of Land Rover Classic

The limited-edition vehicle is powered by Land Rover’s 5.0-liter V8 petrol engine, which generates 298kW and 515Nm of torque and has an eight-speed ZF automated transmission.

Every model goes through a thorough repair that includes upgraded brakes, steering, and suspension.

For the first time on a Trophy model, it will be available with the 90 and 110 Station Wagon bodies as well as the 110 Double Cab Pick-Up.

Only 5 Double Cab Pickups will be produced out of a total of 25, with the other 20 vehicles being equally distributed between 90 and 110 Station Wagon body styles.

The exterior has a striking black and white colour scheme and a distinctive camouflage that was created in collaboration with the Land Rover Special Vehicles design team.

The outside parts, including rivets, screws, and vents, are Gloss Black, while the main body is done in Fuji White with a contrast Narvik Black canopy. 18-inch Sawtooth alloy wheels in gloss black go well with the concept.

23 spots where Land Rover has overcome difficult terrain over the course of more than 70 years of off-roading exploration are depicted on the camouflage.

These include earlier off-roading adventures from the past as well as more contemporary Land Rover journeys in places like South Africa, Laos, and Peru.

Unstoppable all-terrain performance is guaranteed by a variety of external improvements.

A custom front grille is placed in front of a winch in a protective A-frame at the front.

A powerful full-width 1.27m LED light bar offers maximum visibility in all-terrain conditions at night, while the black bonnet has a satin finish to decrease glare in bright circumstances.

The Classic Defender Works V8 Trophy II sports an external roll bar and rock sliders for increased body protection, a 500mm wading depth, and a rear recovery point.

The expedition roof rack is accessible via a rear ladder, and understated accents include Land Rover Trophy badging and a white logo detail on the mudflaps.

Recaro sports seats combine support and comfort with their high-quality black and white Windsor leather finish and contrast stitching.

The headliner, doors, dashboard, and leather trim all have a handcrafted appearance.

The contemporary infotainment system in the Land Rover Classic guarantees that the most recent multimedia options are housed in the genuine dashboard and includes integrated navigation and mobile device compatibility.

For increased control, the ZF automatic gearbox is equipped with the comfortable pistol shifter from Land Rover.

The centrepiece of the dashboard is a custom Elliot Brown Land Rover Trophy clock face, whose distinctive face mimics the exterior camouflage design.

Trophy owners will once more receive a distinctive, robust Competitor’s Edition timepiece from Elliot Brown.

In the meantime, 1,000 watches designed after the Land Rover Classic Defender Works V8 Trophy II are being released by Elliot Brown for people who were not fortunate enough to obtain one of the limited-edition automobiles.

Last but not least, Land Rover Classic will offer Genuine Accessories that are inspired by the Trophy for individuals wishing to give their own Defender part of the Works V8 Trophy II style.

These accessories will be announced later in 2022.

Prices for a 90 in the UK start at £225,000. The 90, 110, and 110 Double Cab Classic Defender Works V8 Trophy II derivatives are now available for direct purchase through Land Rover Classic.
